Responsibilities
Lead ILA/A&E engineering activities from site candidate evaluation through issued-for-construction (IFC) design and construction support; Partner with Site Acquisition teams to assess candidate locations for technical feasibility; Establish engineering standards including ILA basis of design and drawing templates; Define site requirements covering equipment layouts, power, HVAC, grounding, and utilities; Coordinate ILA designs with long-haul outside plant (OSP) and fiber engineering; Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering requirements across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, architectural, survey, geotechnical, and environmental disciplines; Develop scopes of work and manage external A&E firms and specialty engineering consultants; Coordinate commercial power requirements and utility interfaces; Lead multidisciplinary design reviews to ensure compliance with codes and constructability standards; Support permitting activities, construction RFIs, field changes, and final as-built documentation; Provide technical leadership to internal BIM/CAD designers; Support the development of internal engineering capabilities and scalable processes.
