Responsibilities
Read plans and specifications to determine tiling layouts and material requirements; Measure and mark surfaces before commencing installation; Prepare walls and floors by cleaning, levelling and repairing surfaces; Cut and shape tiles to fit around corners, edges, fixtures and fittings; Apply adhesives and lay tiles with accurate alignment and spacing; Apply grout, clean tiled surfaces and complete finishing work; Check completed installations for quality and carry out necessary adjustments; Coordinate with other trades to complete work within project timelines; Maintain tools and work areas and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
