SIPI - RF Integrity Engineer
Core
Solving complex crosstalk and coexistence issues in highly integrated systems through EM/Circuit simulation and lab validation.
Role type
RF Integrity Engineer (SI/PI)
Builds
Wireless devices, ICs, packages, and PCBs
Domain
RF/Analog design, Electromagnetics, Signal and Power Integrity
Required skills
electromagnetic theory, RF/Analog circuit design, Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, communication theory, EM simulation, system-level analysis, hands-on testing
Preferred skills
RF/microwave engineering fundamentals, 2D/3D EM simulation tools, IC design and simulation flow, RF module/board development and debug, high speed signal design, optics/photonics design, RF system modeling, link budgeting
Technologies
VNAs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, 2D/3D EM simulation tools
Responsibilities
Tackle complex, inter-disciplinary problems at the intersection of EM models and active/passive circuits. Drive design optimization and coupling mitigation for ICs, packages, and boards using advanced 2D/3D EM simulation. Apply RF/PDN modeling methodologies to achieve good correlation between simulation and real-world measurements. Execute critical Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis across both RF and digital systems. Partner with world-class IC, package, and product teams to diagnose and resolve spur/desense issues. Get hands-on in labs using equipment such as VNAs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes to validate theories.
Seniority
Mid-level, hands-on IC
