Responsibilities

Manage and develop a portfolio of complex commercial automobile accounts, including medium to large and bulk-rated fleet risks. Underwrite new business and renewals within delegated authority limits and established underwriting guidelines. Assess risks thoroughly, measure exposures, and determine appropriate terms, conditions, and target pricing using available underwriting tools. Proactively identify and pursue renewal and new business opportunities with key broker partners. Qualify accounts against underwriting appetite, risk parameters, and business growth objectives. Negotiate terms and conditions and close commercially sound, profitable deals. Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional lines of business and increase product penetration within existing accounts. Maintain a forward-looking pipeline of target accounts approximately 90–120 days ahead of renewal or effective dates. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts and maintain strong, long-term broker and client relationships. Document broker and client interactions accurately and update account information and status in internal systems in a timely manner. Act as a subject matter expert on coverage-related matters and provide support on claims and underwriting guideline interpretation. Mentor and support the training and professional development of junior underwriting team members.
