Responsibilities
Own QA for Shopify theme and storefront work from staging through launch; Design and run test passes for Liquid themes, sections, carts, checkout, discounts, and merchant content edge cases; Test Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Functions, and custom app flows; Write clear bug reports with steps, expected vs actual, browser/device, and severity; Partner with PMs and developers on launch checklists, regression scope, and go/no-go calls; Use AI tools to draft test cases and bug notes, then verify the output yourself before it hits the team; Flag risk early when a theme fork is unstable, a checkout change is unsafe, or UAT content will break production; Leave clean QA notes and known-issue lists so another engineer or QA can pick up without archaeology
