Responsibilities
Develops and manages efficient acquisition systems for items managed by Materials Handling; Develops and maintains systems which assure the accuracy of perpetual inventory counts and inventory locator systems; Develops and maintains reorder management systems to assure a high level of customer service while minimizing inventory levels; Develops materials cost and inventory reduction programs and provides data to measure progress towards cost reduction targets; Conducts the year-end physical inventory and other periodic inventory counts as necessary; Accurately count and distribute supplies including clean linen throughout the hospital; Serves as a member of the buying team for items managed by MH to coordinate with Procurement, vendors, and hospital; Maintains proficiency in the use of Lawson/Crystal and coordinates with the Application System Analyst to assure that the Lawson database is maintained in a current and accurate manner; Provides reports through Lawson, Crystal or electronic spreadsheets as requested; Assists in training other personnel with respect to inventory management and other related Lawson functions.
