Lead local accounting function and ensure compliance with Hungarian accounting, tax and statutory requirements; Own monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes; Prepare and oversee annual statutory financial statements; Coordinate corporate income tax, VAT and other tax compliance activities; Lead statutory and group audits; Manage tax audits and authority reviews; Maintain local accounting policies and internal controls; Oversee general ledger, AP, AR, bank, fixed assets and employee expense processes; Provide oversight of shared service centre activities; Partner with Group Finance, auditors, tax advisers and business stakeholders; Lead, coach and develop the local accounting team
