Responsibilities
Lead engine dynamics assessments for development, production, and in-service programs; Develop dynamic models to predict behavior under operating and transient conditions; Assess vibration and stability risks and define mitigation strategies; Support Design teams with recommendations for geometry, stiffness, damping, clearances, balance, and support structure changes; Define instrumentation and test requirements for dynamic measurement; Analyze test data to correlate analytical models and improve prediction accuracy; Lead root cause investigations for vibration issues, resonance concerns, field events, or durability findings; Collaborate with Systems, Mechanical Design, Controls, Structures, and Test organizations to resolve engine dynamic issues; Support certification or qualification documentation related to dynamic performance and integrity; Present technical findings, risks, and recommendations at design and program reviews; Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in engine dynamics methods and best practices.
