Develop and test basic component and system layouts for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles; use data acquisition systems, precision instruments, and strain gauges to verify vehicle strength, rigidity, and durability; analyze, quantify, and present captured data to explain ATV/SxS loading conditions; establish basic performance targets and validate specification targets, requirements, components, and full vehicles through engineering principles, simulations, and physical testing; design test fixtures to validate vehicle components in the lab and work with the fabrication team to produce fixtures and jigs; capture real-world customer usage data and reproduce it in the lab using hydraulic test actuators; investigate root causes using problem-solving methods and implement countermeasure specifications.
